Pulis post Brighton

TONY Pulis admitted his side needed to be “brighter in the final third” at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Goals from Pascal Gross and Tomer Hemed secured the points for the hosts on a day which saw the Baggies suffer defeat for the first time this season.

Albion had plenty of possession in the final 20 minutes but were unable get back into the game, despite James Morrison’s late consolation at the Amex Stadium.

Pulis said: “We didn’t play well for 70 minutes and we needed to be better in the final third.

“We conceded a goal 30 seconds before the break and then again a minute after the restart which doesn’t help.

“We had a lot more possession towards the end of the game and got ourselves a goal back.

“It’s a disappointing day for us.

“I was pleased with a couple of performances and I’m looking forward to having a whole week to work with this group now, rather than just one afternoon.

“We know where we are and what we’ve got to do.”
