"Cycling for the good of the community is really rewarding"

LIFELONG Albion fan, Steve Meeson, has cycled across the country to raise money for The Albion Foundation and now you can do the same.

The Baggies Bike Challenge 2018 is here and you can join the team to raise money for the Club's official charity partner.

Cycling from Swansea to The Hawthorns, the 150-mile cycle will take place from Wednesday, April 4 to Saturday, April 7, just in time to watch Albion take on the Swans.

Steve Meeson has taken part in all three editions of the Baggies Bike Challenge and cycled his way from Land's End to John o' Groats, raising over £5,000 for the charity in the process.

"Raising money for The Foundation makes me really proud," said Steve.

"It makes me feel proud to be able to put something into the club that I've followed for a long, long time."

Having clocked up over 1,000 miles through his fundraising exploits, knowing that he is helping those in need keeps Steve on track.

"The Albion Foundation means a great deal to me," said Steve.

"It's a fantastic resource in the local community that gives educational and sporting opportunities to disadvantaged and disabled people that might not otherwise have that opportunity."
