Albion Women beaten by Stoke

Dugmore strike not enough for Baggies

ALBION suffered a 2-1 FA Women's Premier League Northern Division home defeat at the hands of Stoke City Ladies.

The Baggies played the final 45 minutes with striker Olivia Mitcham in goal replacing Bec Thomas.

Kate Asher had given Stoke the lead right on the stroke of half-time after chipping Thomas before the visitors doubled their advantage in the 54th minute through Jamelia Palmer.

Leigh Dugmore pulled a goal back for Albion two minutes later - but despite having a goal disallowed and clipping the woodwork late on, the Baggies failed to find an equaliser.
