Albion loanees scoop end-of-season gongs

Roberts and Ross pick up awards

TWO Albion youngsters have been recognised for their breakthrough seasons at loan clubs in the current campaign.

Tyler Roberts (Shrewsbury Town) and Ethan Ross (Worcester City) picked up the 'Young Player of the Year' awards for outstanding contribution to their respective clubs over the course of the 2016/17 season.

Roberts, who made his Premier League debut for the Baggies last season, scored four goals in 13 appearances for the Shrews in the second half of the season as they secured their Sky Bet League One status.

But there were mixed emotions for Ethan Ross, who scooped Worcester City's YPOTY gong despite his side's relegation from the Vanarama National League North.
