Four Baggies in international action

Scotland and Northern Ireland earn vital victories

FOUR Albion stars were in international action on Sunday evening.

Chris Brunt, Gareth McAuley and Jonny Evans all played 90 minutes for Northern Ireland as Norway were defeated 2-0 at Windsor Park in a World Cup Qualifier. Michael O'Neill's side are now second in Group C with five games remaining.

There was also a vital victory for James Morrison's Scotland side in Group F. The Baggies midfielder played 81 minutes as Gordon Strachan's side struck late to beat Slovenia at Hampden Park. Darren Fletcher was an unused substitute.

Jake Livermore was also an unused substitute for England in their 2-0 victory over Lithuania at Wembley.

And Kane Wilson was restricted to the bench as the Three Lions' under-17 side qualified for the 2017 European Championships in style with a 4-0 win over Slovenia.
