Field grateful for more Premier League minutes

Rising star relishing coming off the bench

SAM Field has expressed his delight at getting more minutes on the pitch as Albion beat Arsenal 3-1 at The Hawthorns last weekend.

The young midfielder was an 89th minute substitute against the Gunners, taking his Premier League appearances for the season to seven.

"Arsenal are a very big club so to do what we did was amazing," said Sam.

"It was a whole squad effort to get the three points but the last five mins were brilliant on a personal note. It was fantastic just to be on the pitch and getting stuck in.

"You have to get up to the speed of the game very quickly but I love coming on and putting a tackle in. Any game time is precious to me."

And the Baggies starlet joked about finding himself in the Arsenal penalty area in stoppage time.

"I even found myself up the other end of the pitch in the last minute!

"I must have got stuck in neutral! A couple of their defenders got back so I just wanted to take it to the corner so we could see the game out.

"I'm delighted that we got the win."
