Injuries to goalkeepers overshadows U18 Derby draw

Brad House and Adam Pryzbek both taken to hospital

INJURIES to both Albion Under-18 goalkeepers Brad House and Adam Pryzbek overshadowed the 2-2 draw with Derby County on Saturday morning.

The duo ended up in hospital after blows to the head left them with concussion, however, the teenage stoppers are now thankfully recovering well.

The Rams took the lead in the fifth minute but a Rahis Nabi penalty moments before the whistle ensured Jamie Smith’s men went in level at the break.

Defender Panagiotis Artymatas was the man to deputise between the posts after substitute 'keeper Pryzbek was stretchered off in the 55th minute, but he was beaten by free-kick from 25 yards with just five minutes to go.

Yet the Baggies bravely hit back in the dying stages when Marcus Forss headed home at the back stick to rescue a point the visitors.

ALBION: House (Pryzbek 14) (Healy 55), Meredith, Artymatas, Wilding, Morrison, Tulloch (Pierce 80), Dool, Nabi, Holsgrove, Forss, Trialist.
