Defeat for PL2 side

Albion fall to last-minute defeat at Aggborough

MARC Wilson made his debut in the blue-and-white-stripes for Albion's Premier League 2 side in a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Monday evening.

The January signing from Bournemouth completed 45 minutes, with Hal Robson-Kanu also playing the first period in a sodden Aggborough.

In a quiet first period Haris Vuckic went closest for the visitors, heading over from ten yards out in the ninth minute.

The frontman then saw a shot sail wide of Boaz Myhill's goal fifteen minutes later.

Hal Robson-Kanu almost broke the deadlock just before half time, firing a snapshot wide of the mark after fine work from Rayhaan Tulloch.

In the second half the Baggies saw more of the ball but failed to test Nathan Harker in the United goal.

And there was late heartbreak for the hosts as Vuckic found himself in space in the six yard box and slotted home in the 93rd minute.
