TONY Pulis is “delighted” Albion have started the season with the positive result he has targeted all summer.
The Baggies earned a 1-0 win in their opening Premier League fixture at The Hawthorns – the same scoreline with which they beat Crystal Palace on the first day of last season.
"It's a wonderful result for us.
“All the work we have done this week has paid off.
"We had more shots, more crosses and more end product than Bournemouth."
And Pulis reserved special comment for the Albion fans, with over 25,000 at The Hawthorns to see another opening-day triumph.
"I thought the fans were fantastic today.
"We gave them a lot to cheer about first half and we've got to make sure we continue to do that."
