LOAN WATCH: Pocognoli promoted

Bumper Easter weekend for Baggies loanees

THERE was a promotion party for Sebastien Pocognoli and Brighton and Hove Albion as they secured their Premier League status for next season.

The Belgian played 90 minutes in the 2-0 victory at Wolves on Friday evening before the Seagulls clinched promotion from the Championship by beating Wigan on Monday.

Callum McManaman's Sheffield Wednesday side could also be a top-flight outfit next season after they increased their chances of a playoff position with back-to-back victories. The Baggies loanee was an unused substitute for wins over Cardiff and QPR.

In SkyBet League Two, Kyle Howkins was an unused substitute as Mansfield Town improved their chances of a playoff place with victory over Wycombe Wanderers and a hard-earned point over high-flying Luton Town.

Tahvon Campbell featured for Notts County as they were beaten by Portsmouth over the weekend.

In the Vanarama National League, Shaun Donnellan's Dagenham and Redbridge side look to have secured a playoff position after they picked up four points over the Easter period. The young defender played 90 minutes in the win over Boreham Wood and the draw at home to Sutton United.

Ethan Ross, meanwhile, played 90 minutes in Worcester City's 1-0 defeat at Chorley.
