Simply download the official Coral Grand National Sweepstake Kit and find 40 people to take part, whether it be at work, at home or down your local pub.
Cut up the 40 tickets and place them into a hat, tumbler or whatever other container you can get your hands on! Each person picks out a horse at random and then their name is placed on the draw sheet also provided, along with the name of the horse they drew.
It’s up to you how much you wish to charge for each ticket, but standard sweepstakes tend to be £1 per ticket, allowing for a total of £40 to distribute however you feel necessary.
One way it could be broken down is for the winner to receive £20, with second place getting £10 and the remaining £10 split across the final places - £6 for third, £3 for fourth and £1 for fifth – mirroring Coral’s five places available on the race.
Many will be looking to draw market leader Vieux Lion Rouge out of the hat, after he won the trial for this race at Haydock back in February. Favourites don’t have the best record in this race though and others to keep an eye out for are Grimthorpe winner Definitly Red, last year’s second The Last Samurai and Gordon Elliott-trained Ucello Conti.
The Grand National was first officially run in 1839 and is an integral part of Britain’s sporting heritage.
