Baggies drawn in Group G of new tournament
ALBION will face Liverpool, Huddersfield Town and Ipswich Town in Group G of the Premier League Cup.
The competition replaces the U21 Premier League Cup and will be contested by U23 sides. Each team is allowed three over-age outfield players and a goalkeeper born before 1 January 1993.
The new format follows that of the UEFA Champions League. 32 clubs enter at the group stage with the top two teams from each group progressing to the knockout stage.
Clubs will play each other home and away in the group stage.
Huddersfield Town v ALBION – week commencing 26th September
ALBION v Ipswich Town – week commencing 31st October
Liverpool v ALBION – week commencing 28th November
ALBION v Huddersfield Town – week commencing 16th January
Ipswich Town v ALBION – week commencing 6th February
ALBION v Liverpool – week commencing 20th February
