Yacob to miss Man City meeting

24 October 2016

Jonny Evans returns from ban and James McClean is okay

CLAUDIO Yacob will miss Saturday's Premier League encounter against Manchester City through suspension.

The midfielder picked up his fifth booking of the season just before half-time in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.

It follows his yellow cards against Middlesbrough, AFC Bournemouth, Stoke City and Sunderland earlier this term.

Yacob now serves an immediate one-match ban against Pep Guardiola's City at The Hawthorns (ko 3pm).

However, Albion are boosted by the return of centre-back Jonny Evans after he served a one-match suspension of his own at Anfield.

Elsewhere, wide man James McClean - who is himself now on four bookings - will be available to face City having received stitches to a nasty gash in his leg following the defeat on Merseyside.
