Morrison excited to link up with Chadli

Scotland international hails Belgian as “top player”

JAMES Morrison is eagerly anticipating the chance to link up with Nacer Chadli for the Baggies after seeing the Belgium international return to action at Hull on Saturday.

The summer signing had missed Albion’s last two matches against Leicester and Burnley, as well as his nation’s most recent international fixtures, with a minor knee injury.

Morrison was replaced by Chadli in the 79th minute at the KCOM Stadium where Tony Pulis’ side earned a 1-1 draw against the Tigers, in the process ensuring an unbeaten November.

The Baggies No.7, who has produced some impressive displays since returning to the starting XI in the absence of Chadli, is now keen to form a formidable partnership with the former Spurs man.

“I’m quite looking forward to playing with Chadders,” said Morrison.

“He’s a top player.

“I haven’t been on the pitch with him that many times so I’m looking forward to linking up with him.

“Hopefully he gets back to fitness, like myself.

“I ran out of legs a bit at the end with it being my third game on the bounce as well as having the international games.

“It’s pretty tough sometimes.

“We have some good players in attacking areas, Brunty, Matty and many more.

“It’s finding the right balance of who can play where.”
