Foster praises victory over champions

Goalkeeper happy with Albion’s performance

BEN Foster insists Albion’s 2-1 Premier League victory over champions Leicester City was a “deserved” one.

The Baggies produced an impressive performance at the King Power Stadium where second half goals from Scottish duo James Morrison and Matt Phillips secured a third league win of the campaign.

And the ‘keeper was full of praise for his side after they ended the Foxes 20-game unbeaten run on home soil.

He said: “It was a brilliant win and I think we deserved it too.

“It didn’t feel like we were under pressure apart from the five or 10 minutes after they scored their goal.

“It was a good performance against a team we know are very good.

“Even though we knew what to expect from them, we dealt with it very well.

“We limited them to very few chances.

“They managed to take the one they did get which is poor from our perspective because we had just scored.

“We should’ve kept it tighter for longer.

“At the end of the day we have won the game and come away with three points.”
