Dawson reflects on 100th Premier League appearance

22 November 2016

Defender reaches impressive milestone

CRAIG Dawson described reaching 100 Premier League appearances as a “great achievement”.

There was double delight for the defender as he hit the milestone on the same night the Baggies put four unanswered goals past Burnley at The Hawthorns to go ninth.

And the former Rochdale man, who was making his 57th consecutive Premier League start for Albion, was happy to collect three important points on what was a special night for both club and player.

He said: “It’s taken a while to reach 100 Premier League appearances.

“It’s a great achievement.

“It was a great performance from everyone and the lads worked ever so hard.

“To get a goal would’ve been nice but I’m happy with the three points.

“We have had some good performances this season without getting the results but there have been two good performances on the bounce now.

“Hopefully we can have a good week in training and make it three on Saturday at Hull.”
