Sporting Club Albion Ladies edged out in final

Brighton and Hove Albion triumph at Adams Park

THERE was disappointment for Sporting Club Albion Ladies on Sunday afternoon as they lost 4-2 to Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Women’s Premier League Championship Play-Off Final.

Leigh Dugmore opened the scoring for SCA but four Brighton goals all but secured the victory at Adams Park. Karen Clough did however manage to grab a late consolation for Graham Abercrombie’s side.

Despite Sunday’s setback, Sporting Club Albion Ladies can still be proud of their achievements this season having won their first trophy, the County Cup, back in April.
