Fanzone opens from 1pm ahead of United clash
ONE of Albion’s most celebrated supporters takes pride of place in the Fanzone, sponsored by freebets.com, for Sunday's Barclays Premier League clash against Manchester United (4pm ko).
Blind Dave Healey, fund-raising marathon runner extraordinaire and devoted Baggies fan, will join The Hawthorns pre-match party spot on a dual mission.
Dave is once again throwing his formidable commitment into The Albion Foundation’s anniversary challenge as the Club’s charitable arm celebrates 25 years working wonders in our community and beyond.
He will join 29 other cyclists who will ride the 180 miles between Norwich and The Hawthorns with the aim of arriving in time for the encounter between the two clubs on March 19.
Dave will be on stage before kick-off to promote one more marathon effort to add to his many down the years, experiences which form the backbone of his just-published autobiography 'From Light to Dark'.
He will be signing copies and will be delighted to chat in the Fanzone’s marquee as we again build towards the game with entertainment aplenty.
There will also be an appearance from the ever-popular legend that is Brendon Batson and live music will be provided by the ska-flavoured and suitably-named 'The Mighty Boing'.
A giant screen will feature the live TV game between Crystal Palace and Liverpool, while the kids can take their choice from a penalty shoot-out or the return of the EA Sports Dugout with its Fifa 16 consoles.
All this plus the usual licensed food and drink outlets around the Greggs store – entry on production of a viable match ticket.
