INTERNATIONALS: Leko plays part for England U17s

Albion man sets up winner

JONATHAN Leko once again played a major role for England U17s in their 1-0 victory against Finland at Harrison Park in Leek.

The Albion forward's swift footwork earned England a 14th minute penalty when he was tripped in the box. Reiss Nelson, who scored twice in the recent game against Turkey, missed his spot-kick.

Yet Leko's head didn't drop - he was to provide England with their only goal when he rounded the Finnish goalkeeper in the 33rd minute to set-up Andre Dozzell from close range.

Leko was replaced by Ben Morris after 62 minutes.

The Young Lions, with two wins from two games, now travel to Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday (KO 7pm) to face Ukraine.
