Rondon on target in Venezuela draw

SALOMON Rondon scored for the second game running as Venezuela drew 1-1 with Guatemala in a Copa America warm-up match.

The Baggies forward rifled home from inside the penalty area late on to earn a share of the spoils, after Gerson Tinoco had put Guatemala ahead in Fort Lauderdale.

Albion’s new number nine will now head to the tournament in a confident mood having also found the net in Venezuela’s friendly against Costa Rica last Friday night.

“La Vinotinto” face Jamaica in Chicago on Sunday, June 5 (ko 10pm), Uruguay in Philadelphia on Friday, June 10 (ko 12.30am), before finishing their Group C campaign with a clash against Mexico in Houston on Tuesday, June 14 (ko 1am).
