ALBION will tackle Vitesse Arnhem in their opening clash of a pre-season tournament in Holland next month.

It ranks as one of the highest quality pre-season tournaments to feature the Baggies and should provide perfect preparation for the Club’s seventh successive Premier League campaign.

The game schedule sees Vitesse launch the tournament against Albion on Thursday, July 21, with a kick-off at 6.30pm local time, before Porto tackle PSV (ko 9pm).

Then on Saturday July 23, Vitesse will face Porto (ko 3.30pm) before the Baggies take on PSV (ko 6pm). The club boasting the best record at the end of the two games will win the Cup.

Three points will be awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss. An additional point is awarded for every goal scored.

Head Coach Tony Pulis says: “This tournament will pit us against some top European opposition and be a demanding test for the players. But it will all be about getting ourselves ready for the first game of the Premier League season at Crystal Palace.”

All games will be played at the Vitesse GelreDome Stadium. Albion will fly out on July 20 and return four days later.

Tickets details will be published on wba.co.uk later this week.
