Nyom: "Anyone can beat anyone"

Baggies defender ready for Chelsea test

ALLAN Nyom has said Albion will be looking for a positive result when they make the trip to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday (ko 12pm).

The full-back was named man-of-the-match by the Albion fans for his display against his former club Watford last weekend.

And Nyom believes that any result is possible as the Baggies prepare to face a side who have won their last eight league games.

"We did very well last weekend against a team who was in a similar position to us in the league table.

"The game showed how hard we have to work week in, week out to get results in the top division.

"I have a lot of respect for Watford, their players and their fans but I was pleased we managed to get the three points.

"Chelsea are on a great run. We know it will be a very tough game.

"But anyone can beat anyone in the Premier League so we'll be going there looking for a positive result."

And the Cameroon international also gave an insight into the mood around the Training Ground as Albion approach a hectic festive period with 10 points out of a possible 12 in their last four games.

"We've got a group of players who put in a lot of effort but also have a good relationship off the field. The team spirit is always high whether we win or whether we lose.

"But of course it's better when you win. The mood around the place at the moment is great."

And after a passionate showing against the Hornets, Nyom is prepared for an equally intense game at Stamford Bridge.

"I have a lot of respect for Watford, its players and its fans.

"But I was pleased we managed to get the three points.

"Chelsea have won eight in a row. We know it will be a very tough game.

"We know anyone can beat anyone in the Premier League so we'll be going there looking for a positive result."
