Pocognoli seals Seagulls loan switch

Defender in season-long loan on the south coast

ALBION left-back Sebastien Pocognoli has joined Brighton and Hove Albion on a season-long loan deal.

The Belgian, who joined the Baggies from German outfit Hannover 96 in the summer of 2014, has linked up with the Championship side until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.

Pocognoli, 29, has made a total of 18 starts for the Club, 15 of which in the Premier League, and a further three substitute appearances.

Brighton are currently eighth in the second tier and narrowly missed out on promotion to the top flight last season having finished third, losing out in the play-off semi-finals.

Everyone at West Bromwich Albion wishes Sebastien the very best for the season ahead.

Meanwhile, Shaun Donnellan has returned from his loan spell at Stevenage.
