LOAN WATCH: Young Baggies in action over weekend

Roberts, Howkins, Campbell and Ross feature

FOUR Albion youngsters were involved for their loan clubs over the weekend.

In League One Tyler Roberts came on with nine minutes to go for Oxford United who lost 2-1 away at fellow newly-promoted side Bristol Rovers on Sunday afternoon.

The U’s sit 17th with one point after two games in the division.

Centre-back Kyle Howkins played the whole game for Mansfield Town as they recorded a 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town in League Two at Field Mill.

In the same division striker Tahvon Campbell came on in the 33rd minute for Yeovil Town after an injury to Alex Lacey.

The Glovers drew 1-1 with Luton Town at Kenilworth Road leaving them in third place on four points from their opening two matches.

Elsewhere in the same division defenders Callam Jones and Shaun Donnellan were both unused substitutes for Accrington and Stevenage respectively.

Winger Chay scrivens also watched on from the bench in the Vanarama National League as his Torquay side drew 1-1 at home to Barrow.

19-year-old goalkeeper Ethan Ross played 90 minutes for Worcester City who lost 3-0 away at Halifax Town in the Vanarama National League North.
