Waterlogged pitch puts premature end to Spurs clash
ALBION’S Barclays U18 Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur was abandoned after 58 minutes on Saturday, due to a waterlogged pitch.
After a goalless first period, the visitors took the lead through a close-range effort from Ismail Azzaoui on 58 minutes.
But no sooner had Spurs taken the lead, the referee, Mr. Denne, brought the game to a premature end deeming the surface to be unplayable after persistent rainfall.
