GALLERY: Foster shines at World Cup

Baggies No.1 makes history

BEN Foster last night made history as he became the first Albion player to represent England at the World Cup in 44 years.

The Baggies No.1 turned in an impressive display to keep a clean-sheet in the goalless draw with Costa Rica, as the Three Lions wrapped up their Brazil 2014 campaign in Belo Horizonte.

The last Albion man to pull on an England shirt at a World Cup was Hawthorns legend Jeff Astle in 1970.

Foster now has eight England caps to his name.
