Stoke U18 3 Albion U18 0

Youngsters beaten by the Potters

ALBION fell to their first Barclays U18 Premier League defeat of the season in a 3-0 loss at Stoke on Saturday.

Goals either side of half-time earned the hosts a well-deserved victory at the Potters’ Clayton Wood training ground.

And lead professional development coach James Shan was disappointed by his team’s display.

“We were poor,” said Shan.

“Stoke were very, very good and we couldn’t live with them on the day.

“We showed a lack of creativity and we will need to improve on that in the next few games.

“The lads need to show more desire, character and enthusiasm when we host Wolves a week on Saturday.”

ALBION: Palmer; Ezewelle, Cleet, Greenidge, Wedderburn; Ward; C Jones (Pace 73), Hayes (Gannon 60); Leko, Oldnall (Wright HT), Hallaghan. Subs not used: Viakla; Buchannon.
