Sinclair enjoying Clarke's guidance

And winger praises fellow summer signing Amalfitano

SCOTT Sinclair is delighted to have won his first game in blue-and-white stripes – and urged his Albion team-mates to build on Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Sunderland.

The 24-year-old winger, who is on loan from Manchester City with a view to a permanent deal, made only his second league start for the Baggies as they recorded their first top-flight triumph of the season.

And the former Chelsea player is again enjoying learning from head coach Steve Clarke, who he also worked under at Stamford Bridge.

“It was a massive win for us - we needed that,” said Sinclair.

“It’s great that we got the three points, now hopefully we can bounce on and get a few more wins.

“We went 1-0 up, got confidence and built on that.

“Obviously I knew the manager from my Chelsea days.

“I’ve come here under him and it’s great to learn off him and just be playing very week.

“I’m taking every step as it comes.

“I’m working hard in training and I’m building on every game I’m playing."

And Sinclair was impressed by fellow-winger Morgan Amalfitano who scored on his Hawthorns debut.

“He’s quick, he gets on the ball and beats his defender,” added Sinclair.

“He creates a lot of chances as well.

“He did that, played very well and if he can keep doing that and adding to the squad then it’s great.

“People might not know him as much as other players but I’m sure he’s going to make a name for himself.”
