Albion chief gives insight into new midfielder
STEVE Clarke has tipped Morgan Amalfitano to be a Barclays Premier League surprise package ahead of today's trip to Fulham (ko 3pm).The on-loan Marseille midfielder kicked-off the Baggies’ transfer deadline day dealings.
And, although lesser known than the likes of fellow new arrivals Stephane Sessegnon and Victor Anichebe, the Baggies boss believes he has the right ingredients to be a success in his first season in England.
“Morgan Amalfitano will surprise one or two, he's a good player, a Champions League-quality player,” said Clarke.
"I think he's probably a name not many people knew about or thought of.
“I've seen him over a number of years going into Europe and watching games.
"He's a player who works hard and is very good technically and understands his position.
“Hopefully he can be a good surprise.”
