Boss happy with rotation policy

And Clarke faces selection dilemma for Norwich clash

STEVE Clarke believes rotating his forwards throughout the season has helped get the best out of them.

The Baggies boss has used various combinations of Romelu Lukaku, Shane Long, Markus Rosenberg and currently-suspended Marc-Antoine Fortune over the last four matches.

And as Albion prepare for tomorrow’s trip to Norwich (ko 3pm) - their third game in eight days - he again has a selection dilemma, depending on which formation he chooses to play.

“If you go back to the start of the season when I was rotating my forward players quite regularly we always had good energy and invention up front,” said Clarke.

“If you can do that with your forward players you have a chance to win matches.

“I’ve tried to do that all season.

“It’s more difficult when you get into the dark days of the winter, when we didn’t do so well.

“But we always try and keep the forward players fresh because they can then make an impact on the games.

“I think it is beneficial for them.

“I think it is beneficial for a forward player if he can go into a game fresh and with a lot of energy to impose himself on the game.”
