Interesting facts

Steve Clarke was assistant manager to Gianfranco Zola at United for two seasons between 2008 and 2010.

Including caretakers, the Hammers have only ever had 18 managers – a role Albion’s joint-assistant head coach, Kevin Keen, twice undertook in a caretaker capacity in 2008 and 2011. Keen also made over 200 league appearances as a player for the Upton Park club between 1983 and 1993.

Albion have not won at Upton Park since coming from three goals behind to triumph 4-3 on November 8, 2003. Brian Deane's own goal gave the Baggies hope before a Rob Hulse brace and a late Lee Hughes strike completed the comeback.

Albion's last four meetings with the Hammers have ended in draws (0-0, 3-3, 2-2, 0-0).

The Baggies are only one victory away from recording their highest number of wins in a Premier League season (14) - and their best return in the top flight since 1984/85 (16).

Albion are eight points better off than they were at this stage last season and are now only three points behind the 47 points amassed during the entire campaign.
