Free travel for up to 2,000 fans

Club to make annual gesture to supporters for Saints trip

ALBION are laying on up to 40 FREE supporters' coaches for the club's trip to Southampton on Saturday, April 27 (ko 3pm).

The Baggies are providing free travel for around 2,000 fans to St Mary’s Stadium as a thank you for their loyal support this season.

The club have made a similar gesture over the last ten seasons for league visits to Sunderland, Wigan - both twice - Reading, Hull, Barnsley, Norwich, Charlton, Middlesbrough and West Ham, with the team unbeaten in nine of these 11 encounters.

Albion chief executive Mark Jenkins said: "We’ve enjoyed some memorable victories on the road this season and our away support has played a huge part in spurring the team on.

"As a thank you to the fans, who make a sterling effort to follow the team all over the country, we are laying on free coach travel for an away game for the 11th successive campaign.

“The stats show that the free coach travel offer has proved something of a good omen and hopefully the supporters will head back home with another positive result to smile about.”

Match tickets are priced adults £30, young adults (aged 17-20)/seniors (65+)/students (on production of a valid student card) £26 and under-17s £17.

Albion have been granted an initial allocation of around 2,200 seats which will go on sale to away season ticket holders on Monday, March 25.

They will be available to home season ticket holders (HSTH) online on Wednesday, April 3, to HSTH in person and by phone on Saturday, April 6, to members online on Monday, April 8, to members in person and by phone on Wednesday, April 10, and on general sale, subject to availability, on Monday, April 15.

Coach seats can be booked at the East Stand box office, online and over the phone and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis – but only once a Southampton match ticket has been purchased.

On booking a coach seat, supporters will be required to pay a refundable deposit of £1, which will be returned on boarding the coach to the game.

This has been introduced to discourage fans from booking a free coach seat and then failing to claim it, thus depriving other supporters of taking advantage of the offer.

Season ticket holders and members who buy a match ticket for the Southampton game will earn three loyalty points.
