Trio sign new Albion deals

Nabi, Garmston and O'Sullivan all put pen to paper

ADIL Nabi has been rewarded for his progress with a new two-year Albion deal, plus a further year’s option in the club’s favour.

And fellow 19-year-old Academy products Bradley Garmston, and Mani O’Sullivan have signed their first professional contracts.

Nabi, who turned pro in summer 2011, top scored for the Baggies in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League last season with eight goals.

And the striker has previously represented England, most memorably scoring twice on his Under-17s debut.

Albion Sporting & Technical Director (Designate) Richard Garlick said: “Adil is only 19 and we want to give him the opportunity to continue to develop.

“He was involved in and around the first-team squad towards the end of last season and hopefully he can push on again.”

Left-back Garmston, who has penned a one-year deal, made 13 appearances, including three as substitute, on loan at League One Colchester last term – helping them stave off relegation.

Midfielder O’Sullivan, who has signed a one-year contract, plus a further year’s option in the club’s favour, is looking to bounce back from an injury-hit campaign.

Garlick added: “These deals reflect all the hard work the Academy continue to do by nurturing more young players onto pro contracts.

“Bradley had a successful loan spell at Colchester last season.

“He made the most of his time with the United and we are looking for him to kick on again this season.

“Mani had a frustrating 2012/13 due to injury and we wanted to give him the opportunity to fulfil the potential he has.”
