Nicolas Anelka and the new home kit made their debuts as Albion’s first public pre-season fixture ended in a 2-1 defeat by Bundesliga outfit Hannover 96. Markus Rosenberg was on target for Albion at the neutral venue of Austrian club FC Gleisdorf 09.
