Interesting facts

The Baggies have lost only one of their last 11 meetings with Rangers – winning six and drawing four.

The R’s will be desperate to avoid a third-round exit for an eighth time in nine years, bowing out to top flight opposition in each of the last two seasons.

The Baggies have won this competition on five occasions (1888, 1892, 1931, 1954, 1968).

The two sides did not meet in any competition until Saturday, November 6, 1948 when Jack Smith’s side overcame The R’s 2-0 at Loftus Road – some 70 years after Albion were founded in 1878 and 66 years after QPR were established.
