Rosenberg handed full Hawthorns debut in cup tie

MARKUS Rosenberg is handed his full Hawthorns debut as Steve Clarke makes five changes to the side that beat Reading 1-0 in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday.

Gabriel Tamas and George Thorne make their first home starts of the season and Marc-Antoine Fortune and Graham Dorrans are restored to the Baggies’ starting XI.

The players to make way are Chris Brunt and Zoltan Gera, who are left out altogether, the injured James Morrison (hamstring), and benched duo Gareth McAuley and Claudio Yacob.

Boaz Myhill misses out through injury, with Luke Daniels taking his place among the substitutes.

Brendan Rodgers has changed his entire Reds starting XI from the one that kicked-off against Manchester United in the top-flight on Sunday.

The visitors field nine of the team that lined-up against Young Boys in last Thursday’s 5-3 Europa League victory.

And it is a young bench for the Merseysiders, with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez left out altogether.
