Clarke rules out quartet

But McAuley is fit and Ridgewell set to train

STEVE Clarke has been forced to rule a quartet of players out of Saturday’s clash with QPR (ko 3pm).

But Gareth McAuley has been passed fit for the Hawthorns encounter and Liam Ridgewell is set to return to training tomorrow.

The Hawthorns encounter will come too soon for Chris Brunt (hamstring) and Billy Jones (knee) after they both limped off in the closing stages of the first-half in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Villa.

Steven Reid (hamstring) will miss his fifth successive game and Boaz Myhill remains sidelined after a minor thumb operation.

Gonzalo Jara Reyes is fit after injury and Peter Odemwingie is available again for selection after serving a three-match ban for his Craven Cottage red card.
