Divine joined some of his fellow first-years in making the transition from London to Walsall to begin his academy journey at Albion.

It couldn't have started any better for the young hopeful, with Onyemachi ending the season as one the 18s' highest contributors in the final third with 11 goals and three assists across all competitions.

A tremendous achievement for the attacker, especially seeing as the the 2023/24 campaign was his first in a football club's academy environment.

Divine joined from a private academy in June 2023 and is an exciting talent who enjoys having the ball at his feet, taking players on and getting into one-on-one situations against defenders. These are attributes which were showcased during the 23/24 season in the U18 Premier League South.

He's having to adapt to the rhythm of professional football and regular training, but academy staff believe the environment at the Baggies will only help Divine continue on his upward trajectory at The Hawthorns.
