Bio

Hollingshead continued his senior development during the 2023/24 season.

The shot-stopper joined non-league Alvechurch on a one-month loan deal early in January 2024, before extending his stay until the end of the campaign. He was a regular between the sticks for 'The Church' - starting every game until the end of the season.

Ronnie signed his first professional deal with Albion at the start of 2023.

Hollingshead penned a two-and-a-half-year deal in January that year and, around the same time, got his first taste of men's football when he agreed a short loan at non-league Hednesford Town.

Hollingshead has proven his capabilities at higher age groups with the Baggies and on the international stage with Wales.

The keeper is usually the first name between the sticks for the U21s, and continues to develop his core skills ahead of embracing more difficult challenges in professional football.

Ronnie enjoyed an experience earlier than he'd anticipated when he was involved with the first-year scholars at the age of just 16 during the 2020/21 season.

Hollingshead featured in the Under-18s side while he was still at school, and has embraced the invaluable lessons which Goalkeeping Coach Boaz Myhill has provided him during an important season with then-boss Peter Gilbert’s men.

The shot-stopper featured on a number of occasions for the club's PL2 side during the 2021/22 campaign. There were several notable displays along the way, saving a penalty to preserve Albion a point against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium as well as starting in a 4-3 quarter-final win in the PL Cup against Derby County.

Ronnie has regularly featured for Wales' Under-18s and during the 2022/23 season, was involved with the U21s over the March international break. And the Hereford-born keeper will be determined to establish himself on the international stage in the future.
