Albion's PL2 side were beaten by Everton at Damson Park on Friday evening.
Leigh Downing's young Baggies were undone by a trio of first-half strikes from the Toffees, as they fell to their first defeat in four league games in Solihull.
Albion found themselves a goal down in under 10 minutes after what had proved a cagey start between the sides, Jack Patterson firing an unstoppable effort into the top corner from the best part of 30 yards.
The goal had given the visitors confidence, and they could've added to their lead a few minutes later only for Luca Davis to find the side netting from a tight angle.
A second did come for the visitors on the half-hour mark through Braiden Graham. After finding space on the right, his powerful effort couldn't be stopped by Louis Brady in the Albion goal.
The hosts looked to craft a leveller but, in truth, they struggled to find a way to carve out any clear cut chances against the Toffees' well-drilled back line.
And with Albion pushing to find a way back in, there was a third right on the brink of half-time for the visitors - Graham tapping in after a mazy run down the right flank by Davis.
The Baggies started the second half in better fashion, with Cole Deeming coming closest to opening the scoring for the hosts - but his curling strike came back off the crossbar.
Ollie Bostock threatened, as did Adam Letlat from distance - but chances remained hard to come by as the game entered the final 20 minutes.
Despite their improved second-half showing, Albion couldn't find their way back into the encounter in the final minutes and it ended in defeat for Downing's young hopefuls.
