Stourbridge-born Sam Field came through the ranks at Albion’s reputable Academy and has been in the Baggies' first-team squad for the past two seasons.
Sam managed 13 appearances during the 2017/18 campaign, scoring his first goal for the Baggies in a 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.
In Albion’s 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship campaign, Sam managed 18 appearances, featuring in victories against Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa, whilst scoring the second goal in a 2-0 win at Bolton Wanderers.
Sam’s first taste of senior football was as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool in May 2016, before his hard work was rewarded with two Premier League starts at the end of the 2016/17 season.
A lifetime supporter, Sam lived the dream in the closing weeks of the 2016/17 season when he started the Premier League clashes against Burnley and Chelsea.
That followed his Premier League debut against Middlesbrough at the beginning of the campaign, all of which established Field as a top prospect for the future.
Named Academy Player of the Season in 2016, Sam followed up that award by being named Young Player of the Year the following summer.
He is also an England age group international at under-17s, under-18s and under-20s level.
