Academy graduate Alex Palmer has moved his way up the goalkeeping pecking order over the last two seasons, being named on the bench three times for the Baggies in the 2016/17 Premier League season.
After consecutive loan spells at Kidderminster Harriers, the 20-year-old made 11 appearances for the National League side before returning to his parent club.
After injury to Boaz Myhill in November, the young stopper was named on the bench for Albion's clashes with Burnley, Hull City and Watford.
Alex recently put pen to paper on a new-and-improved contract at The Hawthorns which keeps him at the Baggies until 2019.
In total, he has been an unused substitute in six matches, five of which in the league, dating back to May 2015.
Alex has represented England at U16 level four times, with his most recent appearance coming against France in April 2012.
