SALOMON Rondon again finished Albion's top scorer - with a stunning headed hat-trick the highlight of his 2016/17 campaign.
The highlight was the second-half hat-trick which beat Swansea in mid December, a goal feat spread over just 13 minutes but the first all-headed triplet since a Duncan Ferguson hat-trick for Everton against Bolton in 1997.
The smiling striker signed a four-year contract on arriving from Zenit St Petersburg in August 2015 for a then undisclosed by club record fee.
His form in Spain triggered a big-money move to Rubin Kazan and another two-year stay (13 goals in 36 appearances) before Zenit, Russia’s biggest club, snapped up his services. He grabbed 20 goals in 37 appearances during the 2014/15 campaign.
Head Coach Tony Pulis admitted Rondon's form had been effected in the 2016/17 campaign by difficulties at home and the striker made an emotional tribute to victims of political turmoil in Venezuela when he ended his barren spell with a goal at Burnley on May 6.
