KYLE Edwards goes into the 2018/19 campaign with a year of first-team Football League experience under his belt and an encouraging pre-season in the bag.
The young forward spent last season with Sky Bet League Two side Exeter City, making close to 30 appearances in all competitions and scoring twice in the process - including a stunning goal in the play-off final at Wembley against Coventry.
Kyle spent the lead up to this season with Albion’s first-team and netted two times whilst playing in friendlies against Barnet, Swindon, Aberdeen, Barnsley and Coventry.
Edwards was named on Albion’s first-team bench for the League Cup tie at Norwich City in September 2015, but a serious knee injury put the brakes on what could have been a breakthrough season.
After close to a year of rehabilitation, he made his comeback for the Baggies’ PL2 side in November 2016 and picked up exactly where he left off - producing a number of encouraging showings and resulting in a loan spell at Exeter in order to and continue his development.
