Despite being just 19 years of age, Kane Wilson has got more than 50 first-team appearances in the English Football League to his name, having spent time on loan at Exeter City and Walsall.
Wilson moved to St James Park for the second time in January 2019, having enjoyed the second-half of the season with the Grecians during the last campaign.
The young defender spent the first half of the season at Walsall, appearing 20 times for the Saddlers.
The defender had been a regular feature for the Grecians during the 2017/18 season despite being just 17 years old at the time.
He spent a year in and around Albion’s first team during the 2016/17 campaign after impressing hugely during pre-season training the summer before.
Already a powerful physical specimen, Wilson even played against Paris St German during a trip to Austria and put in a positive performance during the disappointing League Cup exit at Northampton.
Kane has represented England at under-16s and under-17s level.
