Julian Dicks joined up with Albion boss and close companion Slaven Bilić to take up the role of First Team Coach at The Hawthorns ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
The former West Ham United left-back linked up with his old Upton Park team-mate for a second time in a coaching capacity, having worked with Bilić during his reign as Hammers boss.
The 50-year-old began his playing career at Birmingham City before joining West Ham in 1988.
He made just shy of 200 appearances in his first spell with the Hammers before earning a then-big-money move to Liverpool in 1993.
Dicks returned to Upton Park in 1994 and made a further 125 appearances under then-boss Harry Redknapp.
The Bristol-born full-back made 460 appearances during a 13-year playing career, scoring 69 goals, many of them fiercely-struck penalties.
