Assistant Head Coach
Date of birth
GARY Megson made a popular return to Albion in July 2017 when he was recruited by Head Coach Tony Pulis to replace long-standing assistant Dave Kemp in his back-room team.
In a four-year spell which began in 2000 with Albion in danger of relegation to the third tier, Megson established one of the most celebrated managerial regimes in the Club's history as he led the Baggies to their first ever promotion to the Premier League.
This followed a playing career, which saw him make nearly 500 appearances, more than 230 of them with his home club Sheffield Wednesday, and managerial spells at Norwich, Blackpool, Stockport and Stoke where he first worked with Pulis.
He eventually managed Wednesday before leaving in 2012 and taking a break from the game until he received Pulis's call.
