Assistant Head Coach
Date of birth
"Kempy", as he is universally known, has forged a successful partnership with Pulis which had its first airing at Portsmouth when he was appointed first-team coach in 1999.
By then, the former Portsmouth Hall of Fame striker, had served four clubs as manager in his own right – Swedish club Norkopping, Plymouth, Slough and Oxford – but it was when Pulis and Kemp teamed up at Stoke that the partnership struck gold.
Kemp was Pulis's right hand man as Stoke reached the Premier League for the first time and stayed there reaching an FA Cup final and qualifying for European competition.
Pulis has subsequently always turned to Kemp as his closest working assistant in the spells at Palace and now Albion which followed.
As a much travelled former striker throughout the 1970s and 80s, Kemp enjoyed his most successful League spells at Portsmouth, Plymouth and Carlisle.
