Bio

Narel has been a leader throughout his time at The Hawthorns.

A strong centre-back, Phillips has played an important part in his team-mates' development as well as his own since joining Albion as a ten-year-old.

Hailing from Wolverhampton, Narel has regularly skippered the Baggies' youth teams, with his leadership credentials being a vital part of his skillset at the heart of defence.

Standout moments for the youngster came during his mid-teens when he captained fellow hopefuls in Irish side St. Kevin's youth tournament against some of the world's top academy teams such as Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

Although a frustrating foot injury hindered the defender's progress during his scholarship phase, Phillips has been involved in important competitions with high stakes in the Premier League Cup and the FA Youth Cup.

Those situations will only increase during his next chapter at The Hawthorns as he looks for a sustained spell of football in the Black Country.
