Diangana: We’ll bounce back

Grady Diangana has tipped his teammates to bounce back from Friday’s defeat at Brentford when they travel to Hillsborough on Wednesday (ko 7.45pm).

The speedy winger returned from injury to make his second start since December at Griffin Park, and revealed it felt ‘special’ to be back out on the pitch and amongst the action.

And while the result wasn’t the one Albion were hoping for, Grady insists the dressing room is once again full of life and ready for their next challenge against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.

“Everyone is in great spirits,” said Grady.

“We had a team talk, everyone together. We have all listened to the gaffer and been motivated to really kick on from here because it is just one defeat, we can always bounce back. We have a great work ethic in this team so we will always be able to bounce back.

“That’s the good thing about the fixtures now, they are quite close so you can always look at the game before and move on from it and learn from the mistakes you made before and do better in the next game.

“For me it was really special being back on the pitch. Especially because I came back the first time and got injured again so soon. I was really upset about it and then coronavirus came and that was another setback.

"I was raring to go, looking forward to playing with my teammates again and representing West Brom again. For me it was important to come back and be ready because we have important fixtures ahead."
